This interior veneer stone home design features a darker, sealed version of Spalted Oak; bringing rich warm shadow and honey real stone color tones to the bathroom and bar areas. Spalted Oak Ashlar is used under the bar counter and Spalted Oak Ledgestone is on an accent wall in the bathroom. A dry stacked installation along with the use of an enhancing sealer makes our Spalted Oak material appear much darker.
RUSTIC ASHLAR STONE MASONRY | INTERIOR STONE VENEER
Ashlar describes the finest masonry units of dressed and cut stones that are worked until squared. Capable of thin joints between stones, the linear appearance of an ashlar pattern stone installation results in the most traditional natural stone masonry application. Spalted Oak Ashlar pieces range in heights from 1/2″ to 6″ and lengths from 6″ up to 24″ for both full and thin veneer stone. Its natural stone color range consists of grays, tans, charcoals, whites, buffs, blues, dark grays, beiges with occasional oranges, browns, and blacks.
LEDGESTONE MASONRY | INTERIOR STONE VENEER
A finished building stone veneer and stacked stone or grout installation in the Ledgestone veneer pattern of stone installation is characterized by a rise of 4″ or lower. The low heights and thin layers of stone reminiscent of a historic technique employed by masons for easier coursing is revived using heights from 1/2” to 3” and lengths from 4” to 16” for both full and thin veneer stone. Spalted Oak Ledgestone’s natural stone color range includes grays, tans, charcoals, whites, buffs, blues, dark grays, beiges with occasional oranges, browns, and blacks. The resulting blend of natural stone (schist) pieces has a similar look to a granite stone veneer.
